The Kalākora Society
Photographers and collectors that create and curate contemporary photographic print collections.
Photographers - A photographer's legacy is the print.
For most photographers vision alone is a worthy objective, and finding value in a mission is a gratifying success. From the long and involved years of chasing the perfect moment, to the years spent crafting and pursuing the perfect print, Kalākora Society photographers are in it for the long haul and dedicated to their body or work. Prints begin their life perfectly lit and cared for on the gallery wall, but unless the prints find their way onto a collector's wall, the next step is usually a lonely archive.

Collectors - A collector's legacy is their collection.
For those who don’t collect art, it may seem very obscure and out of reach. Collecting is something that you have to try before you realize how much it enriches your life. And it doesn’t stop there. Appreciation evolves and deepens over time, and when you take that first taste you begin a life long process that defines your perceptions, opinions, and moods.
When someone walks into your house or office, they immediately form a perception of who you are. They will see, for example, that you are well traveled and adventurous or that you are colorful and thoughtful. Your collection reflects this in a way that only it can. Your collection is bigger than you, and it is an intimate reflection of your deep and interesting life. All our lives are one-of-kind, and worthy of sharing.

Are your walls blank? Do they reflect you? If you want to grow yourself, grow your collection.

Together - The legacies grow.
Collectors and Benefactors are the most important curators of photographic prints, maintaining and exhibiting the collections. Neither the photographer nor the collector exist without each other.
The Kalākora Society realizes that our highest potential can be reached by moving prints from the walls of the gallery to your homes and offices, driving more creation and supporting further projects. This is how you, the collector, are part of the experience.

Membership
Membership is organized around a simple principle, buying art propels the art economy. When someone purchases an original print, not only is that person acquiring a wonderful work of art to be enjoyed for years to come, she or he is also directly supporting both the artist and the Society. That makes three beneficiaries from a single purchase of art.
Both novice and experienced collectors are welcome. We want to bring together individuals who want to know how to start collecting photography, as well as those who want to grow a collection with new work by emerging artists.
Join the Collector's Club today and begin enjoying the rewards of collecting photography.

What does the ⓐ signify next to names?
The ⓐ signifies members of the Kalākora Society. If you look at the word Kalākora from the top, the macron above the a is actually a halo. When you look down through the halo, you see what is in the inner circle...
